Focus ST170 bogging

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2004 focus ST170 and after 20 mins of driving it seems to start bogging down and gets a flat spot on the throttle until when you try to rev it it dies then leave it 20mins and it starts and drives again I first thought it was heat but I can have it sitting idling for 40mins then drive it about fine again then 20mins start losing throttle again it’s had plugs and some vac pipes and maf sensor replaced by previous owner in the last 5 months any help would be much appreciated thanks

Had something similar a while back turned out to the pick up in the sump was getting clogged . Full engine flush and oil change did the job .not sure if this helps but your description seems to fit  perfectly.
