All those who use Android Auto with Sync 3 can you get Google Assistant to read out your SMS messages??? . All I get in response is "There are no new messages I can read" 

They come through on the Sync 3 just fine with the SMS popping up on screen. 

Cortana on Windows phone can manage this for goodness sake
