MK2 Focus suspension upgrade. As easy as Saab?

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

I come from the world of Saabs.

Generally have a 9-5 Aero. However it was written off, and I ended up with a 57 plate Focus Diseasol estate.

It's a 1.8td zetec climate.

It's an alright motor. But suspension is dire!

Not to mention how under powered it is, and the lack of any toys!

Now the reason I ask if it is as easy as Saab. If you have a run of the mill 9-5 or 9-3 all you need to do is get the shocks and springs from the Aero. And you have lower and stiffer suspension.

Generally for very little money!

I got shocks with less than 10k miles for £40 for all 4. Purely because mine had done 200k and were almost done.

Now is it possible to do the same with the focus?

ST suspension. Or similar? Ford's really aren't my thing.

Cheers folks.
