Has anybody done a DIY replacement of the mani-cat on the 1.6 petrol?

Managed to get the old one out...just...but can't seem to quite get the new one in.

I really don't fancy dropping the whole front subframe to do it...

Any advice on best way to tackle it??

The missus would be quite happy to have pipes coming straight up out of the bonnet...she's a nutjob...
