Hi I have a 59plate Ford mondeo. It had to have the head skimmed within the last 5weeks as the car broke down and I was told that the head gasket had blown. I’ve had the head gasket done and I got the car back last Friday. I took it out and a couple of times the car pulled back on me whilst driving??! Just sharp pull backs. I took it straight back down to the mechanic that skimmed the head and he’s run diagnostics and said nothings showing up so he’s not sure what it can be?!?! I’ve asked him to run live diagnostics to see if anything comes up as I definately wasn’t lying. I’m not sure what it is maybe I’m just needing to go and drive the car some more now that it’s just been fixed etc and not try to worry too much but it’s natural to worry.

 

anyone got any ideas?????

    What do you mean by pull backs? It's not a term I'm familiar with.

    I'm guessing it lost power, rather than suddenly choosing reverse... :biggrin:
