Focus throttle lag and clutch bite

I own a 2009 focus zetec 1.6 petrol. I've all ways felt that the throttle seemed to be a bit laggy. And that the clutch bite has no feel to it what so ever. I had to have to clutch changed at roughly 60000 miles due to what I suspect the previous owner coasting on the clutch. The car is serviced and mot every year without fail since my ownership. Does anyone else experience this or should I have my local mechanic investigate further?
