Cougar Abs Module

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Weren't sure where to put this topic but here goes,

I have a 2000 ford cougar 2.5 V6. It recently failed its MOT due to ABS light. Got it diagnosed which suggested a faulty ABS module. I have since bought a secondhand one.

My question is where is the ABS module on a cougar and how do you remove it? I've no idea where to begin.

I've heard that installing it is quite simple. I believe its the actual ECU unit at fault. Is it simply a matter of removing the bolts and unplugging? (once found)

Any advice is much appreciated as this has really had me stumped!

Hi

Sorry I can't help, but hoping you can help me.....

I am keen to know if I can buy pump and module/modulator separately or if it is a combined unit?

Also roughly how much it costs and where it is/if easy to fit.

For Cougar 2 with Traction control, 2.5V6.

thanks!

Hope you got your car fixed OK and are back on the road!
