Strange noise when I touch accelerator

hello

I seem to have a strange noise when I press my accelerator and when I take my foot off the accelerator.

It is only when I first press it and each time I take my foot off it. It doesn't do it when idle, only when car is in gear and moving.

I can't explain the sound very well, it's a ping sort of noise you hear and is more prominent in an enclosed space as it echos.

It's a Ford Focus tdci 2005 I drive.

I will try and get a link to the sound file.

    No, it runs perfectly and a my friend is a mechanic of 20 years, he is stumped. No codes etc, just passed mot as well last week.
