Help with fitting AUX cable

Hi everyone,

Looking for a bit of help.  I have recently bought a 2006 Focus LX with a CD6000 and want to fit an AUX cable.  There is an AUX button.

I've researched all I can and am a bit stumped so hoping someone will know.  I checked behind the glove box, there's nothing there.  I have taken out the radio to fit the cable, and all the cables into the radio are held together in a large black clip.  The AUX cable fits where it's supposed to with the rest of the cables unplugged,  but does not fit into or through the large black clip that holds the rest of the cables in place.

Has anyone encountered this before, and has any advice on what to try next?  I thought to remove all the cables from the clip and plug them all in separately, but some seem to built directly into the clip.

Any help appreciated.

Kieran

The AUX cable block pushes into the main block (quadlock) connector from the back of the block as shown in my pictures below and then the whole quadlock will resit into the radio-

Make sure the cable runs above the seating catch or the quadlock won't relock (i.e. alongside the rest of the quadlock loom).

Also check that you have the correct AUX cable for the radio, it needs to be part code (finis code) 1426121-
