Potential gear box issue

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm new here but have owned a 1.6 automatic Ford Fiesta Zetec for the past 11 months (2014 model). Everything was great until I had my service last week and since then the car has been shuddering a bit when going up the gears and sometimes I can hear a grinding/scraping noise (hard to explain). Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any advice please? I called the Ford branch that did the service and they said it’d be a further £120 to look at it :-(

Thank you in advance.

Ask them if they did any software updates,

To be fair I'm  supprised  you haven't had any issues in the last 11months . The dct250 transmission is known to have issues with the dual clutch when pulling away in the first 2 gears.
