longer accelerator pedal

is there any way i can lengthen the accelerator pedal on my mums Grand C-Max? its a 2013 powershift, titanium model

she is disables but doesn't get a mobility car. all previous cars (4 Fords and a Civic) have had accelerator pedals that suit her feet, more so the Civic we traded against the C-Max as it had the organ style pedal.

i have done some looking around on the interweb and the only things i can find are pedal adaptors for 'little people' that sit on top of the pedals, but nothing to extend the length.

any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
