2007 1.3 KA water pump removal

Featured Replies

It has the A9A or A9B Duratec engine according to Millers oil.

Can the pump be removed without taking the engine out?

The pump pulley is very close to the car body!

yes it will come out from underneath. its tight.

Thanks for posting Iantt.

Looking at it, it seems that if the pulley is removed first, that would give it more space.

yeah, the water pump pulley needs to come off first. slacken the pulley bolts first before removing belt as the belt assists keeping the pulley still while slackening bolts

Due to the rainy season, its going into a garage and the young owner's Papa is going to foot the bill so all's well that ends well.

Thanks for the how to info!

I have just tried to remove a Ford ka water pump, too close to the chassis. Any hints?
