Featured Replies

just wondering i have a mondeo lx 52 reg and it does not have the info button on the indicator stalk if i buy the indicator stalk with the info button will it tell me the mpg and the range ect or do i need the right clocks to match the info button?

cheers.

there is no mention of it that i can find on the following site so i would imagine its quite a job

cheers !!!

cheers !!!

the mk3 mondeo does not have the wiring to indicate mpg etc unless its a high end model ford got wise and stopped using the same looms for every car and so they were fitted with the wiring that they needed no extras it can be done but its a lot of work too much youde need fuel sensors for the petrol tank outside tempo sensors new screenwash bottle with built in sensor

my mkiii 54 plate lx has the stalk with info button. i presume this was before ford got wise. must admit fords must have been kicking themselves when people were buying lxs with ghia wiring. all they had to do in a lot of cases would be buy the part second hand from the scrappy and upgrade to ghia model accessories at a fraction of the cost!

its really hit and miss some cars seem to have it others dont im assuming when they were running out of one type of loom they just used the ghia ones instead well its made my job easiert as i have elec mirror trip computer and variable wiper wires etc ive noticed throutgh other posts that many people just dont have the wiring at all its just a case of luck really yeah fords money man must have kicked upo a fuss why buy the dearer model when you can buy the cheap one andf fit second hand parts youreself

i noticed the other day that the bulb holders for under dash illumination were installed and wired in on my car so ive put 501 all glass bulbs in and hey presto. they even dim as they turn off with the curtousey light! however they dont come on if the curtousey light comes on when the engine is running.
