I picked up my new mk4 Focus last tuesday and I was just wondering how long it takes for your VIN number to be regersted. I have tried both the etis and sync3 update sites but both are saing my VIN number does'nt exist.

    Etis will show your vin, are you putting an "o" in the vin instead of an "0"

    It should start wf0nxxgchn then your end vin if you have hatchback.

    The Vin should be valid on ETIS as soon as the vehicle is built. Mine certainly was

    Thanks problem sorted, I was entering O instead of 0, although i can now log into etis it gives the correct car but no build date and extras list like it did on my old car.

    are you registered on ford etis. they changed it a while back so it only shows the long list of details if you log in. you don't pay anything, just register as an independant operator
