Mondeo_ford
Hello all Recently my abs light has came on the dash of of my 2005 1.8 petrol mondeo. I got a obd reader on it and the fault code was for the front left speed sensor. How much hassle is changing this part and where is the best place to source one? Any links to guides, pictures, videos would be greatly appreciated. The mondeo has been a good reliable commuter for me for the past 2 and a half years, it's mot is due soon but hopefully with some minor fixes I'll get another year out of it yet! Thanks
stef123
It’s a one bolt job lol. Well, once the wheel is off. Remove the bolt and smash the old sensor out. Be aware the fault may actually be with the tone ring of the bearing not a sensor fault.
Mondeo_ford
Perfect that's exactly what I wanted to hear, assuming it is the sensor that is! Will the abs light go out itself if the sensor is at fault or will I need to clear any codes? I'll maybe check eBay and see if anyone is breaking a mondeo, hopefully pick up one on the cheap
stef123
You’ll get a new one from the likes of euro crap parts for probably £15-£20 the light might reset, pretty sure last one I did.
