ThePowster
Evening folks. I am just about to buy a fuel filter, not cheap at 50 odd quid for the Mann one, anyway I was looking at the spec of it and they all say up to 109bhp, well mine has been fettled with 140bhp and I had an engine cut out the other day when booting it from slightly cold, so I was wondering.. Could I install a high flow fuel filter to make sure the car has enough gas when it needs it? I am looking at this one: https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/sytec-motorsport-high-flow-fuel-filter-243236/ Is it really as easy as taking mine out and plumbing this bad boy in? Or for some reason will this not work? I'll wait to hear from the oracles before I order sommat wrong聽馃槃 馃憤
TomsFocus
That's for petrols really, diesel fuel filters also remove water and are likely to have a much finer filtration system. But anyway, the genuine Ford filter (which is still only 拢43 on eBay ) has a fuel heater on top to stop the diesel gelling in cold temps, and has the correct quick release fittings for the car.聽 There's really no need to 'upgrade' the fuel filter on these at all, let alone for a stage 1/140bhp. 聽 1
ThePowster
Now that sounds like good common sense to me. Never knew about the heater on it, standard one it is :) That was easy lol thanks Tom ;)
