i have bought a indicator stalk with the info button but i do not have the haynes man lol so just wondering how to go on and take the old one out and the new one back in

If its anything like the Escorts are, its just undo the cowling, one screw, they pull out, unplug them and replace.

have had a look and i can see the mpg and cruise icons are there, so hopefully the indicator will work. i thought that when working on any switches on a car you would have to disconnect the battery?

if the switches dont operate when the ignition is off as in this case i would say u are ok to do this without disconnecting the battery

there are screws on the underside of the column csing and it should come off in 2 halves. take ure time putting it back on incase u end up with a squeeking noise when u turn the wheel after uve finished

mine bleeps with the button but does tab thru indicators on the lcd

if you want to get the trip computer working then you will need to get a set of clocks from a scrap car or something liike that that had the trip computer in already thats the way to get it to work

you think the fact that its bleeping means that the other components are there except the right clocks? just i can see in the lcd part the mpg and cruise icons are there lol cheers
