A Good Glue For Plastic Trim Refit ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

A piece of door trim has come unglued on my 03 Fiesta, its from the rear passengers door beside the window (centre pillar area).

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a suitable plastics glue or if the original Ford glue is available to buy from the service dept. ?

I used a few blobs of silicone rubber a while back but it hasn't lasted and I know from previous experience sticking plastic to plastic is not always easy.

The most annoying thing is that with the trim removed it leaves a rubber seal flapping about, pics below show original glue and rubber/plastic strip.

from the pics it looks like they use hot melt glue, you can buy a glue gun and sticks for about £15,sticks anything and is useful everywhere but dont get it on skin as it hurts like hell

Try some TigerSeal ;)

DO NOT get it on your hands though
