Tim001
I have a 2007 Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec diesel estate - just been for an MOT and failed as the catalytic converter flexi pipe has broken and can only be replaced with a new unit. I want to get hold of a cheaper one and need to see an image of the actual thing to make sure its right.

Tim001
Thanks. Have managed to at least see the correct one I need. Does anyone know if the flex pipe is available as a separate part to buy? It has failed the MOT as leak from the flex pipe and been told by the garage that it comes as part of the whole replacement catalytic converter!! Tim001
Have looked at both and reasonable prices for full cat unit. Just wanted to explore whether the actual flex pipe could just be repaired instead?

There isn't a quick off-the-shelf repair kit for them though. For a simple diesel cat with no DPF on that car it's probably cheaper just to replace the whole thing though.
Micro
Something like this? Found it via searching a site that provides Fords catalogue (out of date copy unfortunately) and searching the Finis number (1855298) on eBay.
