Is the current head unit rectangular shaped or an oval that's wider at the top?  Assuming it's retangular (with you saying 2007) you can't just fit a standard size "double din" unit because Ford use weird non standard sizes, you'd be looking at needing something like this which would allow you to fit a standard double din sized unit.

If you need a radio that's the same size as the one currently installed, Xtrons do ones that fit both the rectangular and oval shapes. Not a particularly cheap option, but would save having to get a new fascia/converter kit.  They run 7 inch screens IIRC, though not sure if you could do 7 inch on a standard double din.
