Plastic sill unclipped on ‘15 plate Focus Titanium

Featured Replies

Just noticed that the passenger side plastic sill in front of the rear wheel has come unclipped and won’t just push back on.

Anyone else had/seen this? Is it a Ford bidy shop job or is there a self-help solution?

Nobody?

Do you have a picture? I'm not sure how they are attached on that year but on the MK2 it is with a metal clip that is just shy of the width to hold it all in place and grips together the plastic part to the edge of the arch and underneath in the sill is a screw.

So, I got the plastic sill cover off and can clearly see one of the moulded mount points has snapped. There are 9 of these along the length. I bought a bag of 10 of the required clips from ebay. The rivets TomsFocus has shown above are also needed but are different to these 9 clips. You need 6 of the plastic rivets which go in from underneath the car. Oh, and I bought the new sill cover for £56 from my Ford main dealer!
