    Easier to fit better quality EBC discs and pads 

    Because you already have 18" rims which are considerably heavy, bigger discs also contribute to the unsprung mass of the vehicle which overall reduces acceleration speed and costs more on fuel, 

    Even 17" rims increase mpg compared to 18" due to the reduced weight.

    Theres nothing economical about 18" wheels
