Fuel injection

Featured Replies

Hello, focus ppl. I have a Ford Focus 2008 1.8 tdci. 2018 begining of autum it started to do weird thing. Its starts after few secons dyes, and after that u cant start it again. SO my mechanic changed, filter, pump  ( wich cost fortune), some bits and bobs. Im no mechanic so have no qlue about these parts. Anyways it was fine around 6 months. Now It started to do same thing over again. Any ideas what is this about?

my first thought is a leak on fuel pipe or fuel filter allowing fuel to drain back down towards fuel tank so that it has air in the fuel pipes up by the engine. You might think a leak would be spotted by fuel leaking out, but it does not do that because of the vaccuum so if there is a leak it sucks air into pipe as opposed to fuel flowing out.

I am not saying it is that though, might be something else but I think this is first thing to check
