Could someone please tell me how to remove the drivers side panel next to the clutch?!!!

Please have a look at the pictures to know which panel I am referring to.

should just be clipped in, give it a good pull and it will come away from the centre console

Really ? I tried giving it a good pull a wont it just wont release. It feels like I'm gonna break it lol have you pulled it away yourself ?
