Intermittent scraping/rolling plastic sound behind dashboard.

Featured Replies

I get this noise and it happens about once every two months which is the strange thing about it, It seems to come from to the left of the dashboard area behind the radio and under the "cubby hole" comaprtment. It will randomly stop too after a while.

It happens when the car rocks so if I drive about 10 miles an hour and make the car rock from side to side the noise does the same thing, either a cable is scraping against the inside of the dashor to me it sounds like something is moving from side to side, it's definately a light plastic object or component scraping along a plastic surface.

This hasn't happened for a long time and the only thing I can think of that may have triggered it today was when I was hittin the top of the dash board "cubbyhole" with my palm because it rattles from time to time.
