Engine oil recommendation - smax tdci 2.0 2006

Featured Replies

Hi all

Which engine oil should I use for my diesel smax? It's the tdci 2.0l 2006 163hp.

I'm clueless on such things.

Recommendations welcome.

Hi Frembrit, I saw your post here

https://talkford.com/community/topic/314066-dpf-error-code-p2463/

My Ford Mondeo 2010 Diesel Automatic giving me the same error code and EML is on, also MOT soon.

I need urgent help from you. EML was intermittent but now continuous. Yes I was not driving much in motorway. Read the DTC and got code P244C - Catalyst temperature too low during regeneration, bank 1. Now showing fault code p2463(97). I already changed the DPF fuel injector with a mechanic, found previous one was blocked. But still the EML on and giving me new fault code P2463. What's wrong with it. Do you think driving in motorway for long time will solve this problem? Please help.

Have you checked the DPF load and soot values? and did you reset the dpf learned values after the Vaporiser was replaced? Mine started to regen fine when driving along an A road at 50-60mph
