09 fiesta 1.6tdci won't start

Hi all, my 09 fiesta 1.6 tdci decided not to start the other day completely out the blue, flashing up on the dash is the cog symbol with a '!' in the middle of it, aa couldn't do much apart from find there's fuel going to the high pressure pump but not to the injectors, I think it may be the pressure solenoid on the high pressure pump but I'm just wondering if there are any common faults with these engines 

The car turns over but doesn't fire up, it runs on easy start if you spray it continuously down the intake but dies when you stop

Any help is greatly appreciated
