Mk1 focus 2.5 engine swap

Featured Replies

Hi I'm new on here so sorry if you had been asked before. I have a mk 1 focus 1.6 this is my daily driver but after 3 years of pretty hard use the engine is on its way out . I have been toying with the idea of rebuilding and turboing a zetec se but it would work out fairly expensive for the bhp.this got me to thinking of a complete engine swap from a mk2 st .I know this is a completely different engine and is much bigger being 5 cylinder but the plan was to buy a complete crashed/damaged st and do a complete swap over of everything including subframe, suspension, brakes etc.My question is has anyone done this before or even just fitted the engine any info on this would be greatly appreciated  or any other suggested engine swaps to consider
