Ford Street Ka 2003,   The speedometer has stopped working, is it easy to fit a new one.  Or can it be repaired?

Could just be the speedo sensor that's packed up.
Do all the other dials and suchlike still show readings?

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, everything else seems OK.  So, if it is the sensor, where is it and how can I replace it?    I also have the little engine symbol light on, my local garage says that is nothing and just ignore it.  Is this right?

The sensor is plugged into the gearbox.
Any warning light should be checked out, it could be related to the speedo problem you're having but I'd have the car read for error codes.
Any warning light would likely be an MoT failure.
