Mondeo 2.2 TDCI 2010 jerks/missing when it's warm outside

Featured Replies

First of all I'm Swedish so I apologize for my English in advance :).

I have a weird problem on my Mondeo diesel. When it's above 7-8° outside the car runs jerky between 1400-1800 when driving at a constant speed. Just a small tap on the throttle will make it go away but mostly you're around those RPM on the highway or in the city. In the summer it's a real pain but now when it's starting to get colder outside the car runs perfect. No fault codes appear which make troubleshooting even more difficult. I've heard people say it's the EGR-valve but that would most likely generate a code and the problem wouldn't just occur when it's warm outside?

Got any ideas?

I am experiencing the same with Peugeot 4007 2.2HDI 2011 which is the same engine, all of a sudden it starts to shake and even jerk at speeds 80-110 km/h and revs between 1500-2000, this is happening for years and no mechanic and diesel injection specialist was able to solve it. So it can work perfectly for days and month and then as a surprise it starts to tremble/shake more when accelerating, but also on constant speed of 110 km/h. There is no 'check engine' light or any error codes in ECU.

This is driving me completely crazy, I'd sell this car, but have concern that new owner will experience this soon and come back to me with compliant.

I am trying now to test injectors on test machine, but problem is that these Siemens Piezo are so rare that specialist do not have some test lists for it, code is 9659228880.

any ideas how to solve this?
