Can I put newer CS7T 14D212 bluetooth module into 2009 MONDEO Mk4?

Featured Replies

G'Day Everyone

I am from Australia.

I have 2009 Mondeo mk4 with factory Bluetooth/USB module (19C112-AS). The problem is crackling / popping sound when streaming over bluetooth, the module firmware is up to date.

I believe the module is on its way out, I would like to replace it, but the 19C112 module is very hard to find and expensive on eBay.

But there is a newer module (CS7T-14D212-AB) from a 2012 Mondeo mk4.5 available on eBay for cheap.

My question is can I use this newer module to replace my current 19C112 module?
Is my SONY 6cd radio able to handle this new module?
My SONY radio firmware is 05_06_01  BL:02-07-81  CD:3.0.16  02/12/2008

Thanks very much for your time.

Regards
Jimmy
