Okay first my cars are all Fords.

Cortina Mk3 Est, 1972

Transit Mk7 Tourneo, 2011

Fiesta Mk8, 2017

American RV 2006 ( Built on a Ford F53 chassis running a 6.8lt Ford Triton V10)

Having loved the Ford brand now for years I do all my own repairs as I don't trust main dealers and garages, why you say?

Well for one thing only last year I had a nice S-Max Titanium X with all the bells and whistles, I was short on time so took it in to Fords for it's first service, a fortnight later had oil spewing out on the drive as they hadn't tightened the oil filter enough and it had started to come undone hell of a good job It was at home when I spotted it. I could go on about other jobs but what the hell.

Had the cortina from new same as the Transit and just picked up this Fiesta.

I can be a moaning old git, but have lots of good advice to hand out as have worked on cars now for well over 40yrs and you tend to pick up a few things over the years....

I'm a member of the RV club and Cortina Mk3 Owners Club intact I'm the midlands rep. also a member of the 1-5 Cortina club.

I have joined here hoping to get a few answers about my new Fiesta

As above 1st thing I'm struggling to sort out is the Mk of my Fiesta, as it looks to be around the change over from 7 to 8 it has the body of the Mk7 but the dash of the Mk6 it's on a 17 plate, I will get more info, built date when I plug into the IDS later today, also I will be asking if it's possible to change the steering wheel to one that has cruise control and switch just it on in IDS more on that later once I have more info on the car photos to come.
