So we have an old 52 reg ford escort 55 van after replacing the blower motor the old girl is still not getting hot (giving out hot air from the blowers inside the van ) we have had a look over everything and still nothing the only thing we have come across is that the main radiator fan is kicking in even with the ignition on at full wack witch we expect is a fault stat can anyone point me in the right direction with this please  

If your engine fan is on all the time replace the fan switch should sort it.

As for not hot air in the cabin when the main fan is fixed this may improve or may not things to try will be thermostat may be stuck open means the engine will take forever to warm up especially in the winter and you will be using more fuel as a cold engine is an un-efficient engine. If the engine is getting up to temp on the gauge allowing the temp sender is ok and not faulty this would mean the thermostat should be working but you could have a blockage or air lock in the heatermatrix (small internal radiator in the dash board near the heater blower)

Thank you for your reply. There is life on the site after all when i can get it back in the work shop I'll have a look and replace the stat the temp gauge gets to the middle on a good run put like i say the fan kickes in will replace and start again I'll also have a look at sorting the air lock out
