Hi guys - recently purchased a 2015 Ford Mondeo with Ford Sync2 Touch but no navigation activated. I live in South Africa so would need the Africa maps on the SD card but assuming there is more to this than just plugging in the SD card. I take it there would be a programmer of sorts needed to program the built in car pc then use the SD card to load the maps...

Our Ford agents here are not technically minded enough to do this procedure and reckon that they have the lack of expertise as well as software to do this job even though they would still sell me the map memory card for R13000. The Ford Mondeo here was only sold for 2 years here in 2015/2016 then they stopped bringing the cars in because of bad sales hence the lack of expertise here.

Can anybody help me to firstly get the map software for Africa - PN - FM5T-19H449-KA and also advise on where to obtain an aftermarket programmer?

    @curtie had a guy once from SA... And we found out that Ford never supported and never released any SDcard for Sync2 that covers any African state unfortunately. But you can also try some digging and ask your Ford dealer there id they have any information regarding the SD for South Africa because i really have no idea that such a part number SDcard was for SA FM5T-19H449-KA.

    Navigation activation is a piece of cake and i can help you with that. But just firstly try to find out more info to the SDcard. Unfortunately this is something i think we are not able to help with.
