Hi there - new member, just registered.

Tried to find out if there is an update to my sync software on my Mondeo I've just purchased, but the Ford website doesn't recognise my VIN number.

Have checked it's correct and tried it several times and it still won't work.

Has anyone else has this problem please?

    Seems OK now. I don't even know if my 2008 TitX has any kind of sync at all. How would I know?

    Go into onscreen 'settings' and look for a menu item with 'software' mentioned which should take you to a screen with details of the software your car has and what versions they are

    I don't think the MK4/MK4.5 Mondeos ever had Ford Sync, I don't think the Mondys got any version of Sync until the MK5 was released with Sync 2.

    You are indeed correct. My menu has no sync. Well at least now i know i have one less thing to worry about 😉
