2007 mk3 Mondeo torque how much can the clutch take?

Featured Replies

Hi old hand returning back after swapping Fiesta ST for Audi S1. Now I have gotten hold of a mk3 Mondeo ST TDCi as a second car. Just wondering what torque people have on the standard clutch. Be particularly interested to there those that have been on rolling roads.

I seen lots chip quotes saying 185hp and 460nm. But can the clutch live it? as I used to think the clutches where weak in the TDCI, I used to have 2.0ltr 130bhp MK3 mondeo before the fiesta. Or is the clutch uprated on the 2.2tdci (transit engine?) model?

Did trying searching but the search I tried to do didn't bring much up.

Also see the same places claiming the mk3 mondeo to output 155hp as standard but the but the engine plate says 155ps which is 152.8 hp and seen claimed 380nm standard torque but I read and thought its was 360nm standard. interested in the real world figures more then anything purely out of interest.

(yes I know rolling roads very from place to place, and weather conditions etc)
