New ST-Line Edge

Featured Replies

So, just picked up a new ST-Line Edge, Ingot Silver.

Pleased so far. The only minor issue is it arrived with LHD Floor Mats. Those Canadians really know how to make us laugh...............

What was the trade like for your old one? Mine is 3 years in May 2020 and has now 50,000 on the clock. I do wonder wether to trade now for a new one or wait a couple of years and buy a low milage 2nd hand one.

For me the road tax on £40k plus diesels, means my current one will be my last. £600 per year road tax is just p-taking gone too far. Mine is £165. That’ll do.

Yes, I got a very good price for my trade-in and a very good price for the new one. I really liked my first Edge, probably my favourite Ford so far. I was a bit disappointed that they stopped offering them in the UK.

I wanted the chance of another for teo or three years and then who'knows.

The road tax, whilst its a bit annoying, especially as its a Euro 6.2, is just something we have to live with. I we want to drive nice cars it's just something we have to put up with.

£600 a year equates to £50 per month.  I don’t do a huge mileage and don’t spend much more than that on fuel per month.

True but that assumes it's a Ford Edge or the bus.  You're going to have to pay VED regardless.  The cost for a Ford Edge is an extra £25(ish) per month.  Still annoying but now only half as bad
