MK2 C-Max washers issue

My c-max mk 2 washers stopped working, checked fuse box and fuse 77 (washer pump 20amp) was popped. Changed that and worked then stopped again checked fuse and was fine then got told to check fuse 82 (washer pump ground 20amp) and that was popped. Changed that then they worked and stopped again and fuse 82 popped again.
Any ideas on why or what I can check.
