Low Battery Warning

Featured Replies

Hello.

Can someone tell me what this means, how to solve it, and why it comes up? Is it what I believe that the vehicle battery is on the way out or needs charging?

Cheers.

well three things really.

battery could be dieing, sudden cold spells can bring to light a battery which is on its way out and the cold brings the problem to light (the chemical reaction that makes a battery work is slowed down by the cold so any shortcomings becomes more obvious)

battery needs charging as lots of short journeys with all electrical stuff on is taking more electricity out of battery than is being put back in.

Charging fault - eg, alternator belt, or alternator, or wires on alternator, or the alternator pulley (some cars have a one way clutch built into the pulley which can fail)

Thank you for the reply, I'll check and charge the battery first. Cheers.
