Fiesta facelift

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know if it’s possible to convert a mk7 fiesta to a mk7.5? Thanks

Hi, David. Don't know if anyone's actually tried this. I suppose it would be possible but for starters you're looking at changing bumper/grille, bonnet and headlights plus painting etc so not an economic proposition imo. Probably cheaper (and certainly easier) to upgrade to a later model. Must admit I always preferred the look of the pre-facelift model anyway.

Hi Eric

thanks for your reply, it’s a difficult one as my son will be having his grandads fiesta for his first car but of course he prefers the facelift model, the car has only covered 22k miles (2010) so I’m not keen on letting it out of the family

thanks anyway

Yes, sounds well worth keeping and looking after!😀

If it’s his first car, I doubt he’d be able to afford the insurance for covering a modified car.

Thanks for your thoughts, it’s a good point, I had thought of this but wounded if it would matter as it wouldn’t affect the performance but we all know what insurance companies are like....

Any modification of this kind will affect insurance premiums even if it doesn't affect performance.

As alexp999 said, the insurance on a modded car will be higher, not to mention a new driver with a modded car.

It's doable but probably not worth the cost as mentioned. You will require new bonnet, bumper, headlights + plugs (as they are different between facelift and pre-facelift), crossmember and a few other bits and pieces.

Hi.

If you had any issues with insurance at all then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan.
