Heater problem

Hi Folks I am new on here , sold my capri the other day and bought a c max Sept 2007 1.6 Zetec , the problem is the heater control dosent adjust the temperature the heat out of the vents is warm no matter what setting the control is set at.

I have done some research and it's seems there is a heater control valve fitted somewhere but I can't seem to find them online. Has any of you had this sort of problem before do you think the control valve could be the problem ? The air con dosent seem to make any difference when switched on either.  Thanks Alex
