Engine malfunction light

Just bought a new mondeo 60 plate tdci , this morning an engine malfunction light came on the dashboard with a spanner the "i" is showing amber , can anybody cast a light on what it could be ?

It could be any number of things, you will need to have the fault codes I'm afraid.
