Hope you can help me out.

We had a lot of rain overnight and I found a ***** ton of water in the passenger footwell.  It rained again today and I could hear "drip" "drip" "drip" somewhere in the cabin  -- it was 6am and I had to rush to work so couldn't locate it.   A few years ago, I had a similar problem. Mechanic discovered the A/C drain hose was blocked and fixed it.   I think this is a different leak because of the rain;  I rarely use the A/C;  and I could hear the "drip drip".

iF YOU HAVE a sunroof, check the drain tubes, chances are they're blocked. A very common issue aparantly. I had it with mine. There's a good howto here somewhere. try a search for blocked sunroof drain.

 

Cheers mate.  I actually cleaned these out a month ago.    That said, we had a dust storm so they might be blocked again.  I'm going to have a look on the weekend. 

OK, I've narrowed it down. The water is leaking from just to the left of the glovebox. See pic. It then goes down the inner seal (cabin) and drops out into the footwell.  It could be from the sunroof drain hose (passenger side) or the pillar or the door seal.  

 

Any ideas on how to unblock the sunroof drain tube ?  -- water doesn't want to go down it. 

Resolved - it was the sunroof drain tube.  Used a drill bit and shoved it up the end of the hose.  Heaps of ***** came out.  Back to normal !

Do any of you guys know where to get replacement sunroof drain elbow joints ? 

my guess is its a ford part only but is it any wonder they clog so easily with such restricted outlets. When i unblocked mine i cut the end off to allow better flow. I mean, what goes up there?
