Hello from a Lurcker

Featured Replies

I started with a car with 998cc, then bought a car with 140 BHP, so decided to buy a car with 998cc and 140BHP.  Last year I couldn't decide whether to buy a Mk7 Fiesta (possibly red edition) or a Mk8 St-line 140. Last July I ended up buying a lovely 5dr Mk8 ST-line X. It's red and has a black roof (sun/moon roof) so I suppose looks a bit like a red edition.

I'm loving the car, but missing the extra 100 ft lb of torque from the previous 1.9l TDI diesel. However, I've read the Ecoboost is very torquey for a 1.0l and am finding it has got a quite smooth power delivery. Previous car got all torque at 2k rpm.

This is not the first Ford in our Family, as my brother acquired a 2006 Mk6 fiesta Ghia 1.6 Auto from our (late) Great Aunt. Had it for 6 or 7 years, but changing it in the next month.

I've been reading this forum for quite a few years, (it seams one of the best Ford ones), decided to join today, as it was 11 years ago today I joined my first car forum, plus hay it is my Birthday.  😄
