Filling problem at garage

Featured Replies

For the 2nd time when putting diesel in my Kuga, the pump nozzle has got stuck in the filler. This time, the pump didn't cut off when full and diesel spilt out, causing me to get it all over the wheel arch, tyres and my shoes!

There was also a considerable amount on the forecourt- which I ended up paying for.....

I'm now worried about having to fill up again. Can anyone please suggest what I can do to stop this happening again please?

Are you holding the nozzle correctly?  It needs to be fully inserted into the filler hole and let 'rest' instead of being held up at an angle.  There is a diagram of this on the inside of the filler cap, or in your handbook.

You are in the minority though, most people have problems with the pump cutting off too early using the EasyFuel system!

I'd be interested if anyone has any ideas. Have found it gets stuck occasionally although have never over filled
