2009 ford mondeo blowing cold air

Hi, 

First time poster on a forum. I have recently bought a 2009 ford mondeo zetec model. I had no heat coming from blower so after some research I changed the thermostat (spurious part) after that I still had nothing so I flushed the heater core, car had heat for 2 days but then back to cold. Flushed heater core again and had heat but this mornin back to cold again. I'm going to get a ford thermostat this eve as car is only reaching 70 degrees. Checked the coolant temp with obd2 scanner. Would it be possible that it's an airlock. Any help greatly appreciated thanks for reading.
