Water sounds on start up KA mk2

Hi, has anyone else experienced a rushing water sound when starting the engine? It stops after a very short time and doesn’t seem to reoccur whilst driving. I suggested it might be trapped air in the heater matrix to the garage but they thought the system self bled? I’m not loosing any water and I can’t see any sludge from a head gasket problem. Any thoughts most welcome before I take it back to the garage, or find another!

    In case anyone else has something similar, it was the temperature sensor with a small crack allowing air in.
