Hello friends, I am Dr. Alaa, living in Saudi Arabia, I have Ford edge sport 2014 AWD 3.7L V6, I bought it used recently, The drive distance is 132,400 KM.

I did a test for petrol consumption, I traveled from one city to another, in same condition for both going and return, I did full tank from same petrol station, the fixed parameters :

1- Drive using cruise control fixed speed 120 Km
2- No AC during travel
3- Same road, same time and almost same weather.
4- My car has 22 inches wheel, and I changed recently the spark plugs, engine and transmission oil in routine service as recommended in the car manufacturer book.

While traveling I did full the tank with Octan (Ron/Mon)=91 (Named Petrol 95 in Saudi) and the car was doing perfectly like a monster, and it passed almost 600 KM, so 11.6L for 100 KM

During return, I did full with (Ron/Mon) =87 (Named
Petrol 91 in Saudi) and I notice poor performance
compared to previous one, and the car passed only 500 KM, so 14L for 100 KM

But inside the city the full tank give only around 400 KM. 

I don't know if this normal to my car or it consumes
more petrol. At same time the engine is good with no any abnormal sound, and the car performance is good.

I noticed something, sometimes immediately after starting the engine, I can smell petrol at the back of the car which disappear rapidly and then everything become normal.

Have you tried the American forums as well, as this forum is pretty much uk based so Edges on here really only from 2016 uk versions onwards.
