Got myself a Mk6

Featured Replies

Hello from Dublin. So I just sent my K11 Micra to the big scrap yard in the sky (great car btw) and got myself a 2007 Fiesta (2008 reg). Always loved the fiesta since I had a mk4 and thought it had a fantastic reliable engine (1.25) so the obvious choice next was the mk6. Reliable, cheap parts and great handling car. Shes a 5 door with 113000 km's, full service history, cambelt recently done, clean interior. Now to sort out the few little niggles here and there to get her right. First, full service 5w 30, plugs, fuel filter, power steering flush, cleaned the jungle from the windsheild drain / scuttle panel and around the strut tops. cleaned the Tmap sensor carefully with carb clean and the throttle body also. Patched the muffler with gun gum and wrap (sport muffler later) and changed pollen filter. Some minor issues still remain but Im hopeful the forum guru's can help with advice and knowledge there. Also got myself one of those £20 streetwize obd2 fault code reader. What an awesome thing. Will save me a few quid should the check engine light ever come on.
