Clutch slave cylinder pipe

Featured Replies

Evening guys and girls

Id love to say ive had a productive day but after fighting with siezed bolts and strong winds all day changing the clutch on a 57 1.3 ka

i got it all back together then hit a huge speed bump!

The clutch hydraulic pipe doesnt fit the new slave cylinder!

It seems the new fitting is slightly smaller so the fitting on my pipe wont go in!

Is there something ive missed or is it the wrong slave cylinder?

If it is the wrong one is there a hack to make it fit cos i really dont fancy spending another 6 hours striping it down again to change it.

The kit i bought was quinton hazel QKT2156AF which said it would fit but i did notice the new one was metal where as the one i took out was plastic (i just put it down to after market upgrade)

In the last couple of weeks I saw another query from someone with same problem on one of these ford forums, can’t recall which model. He bought a replacement pipe from car breakers as new was about 200 quid he said. Perhaps someone else can elaborate if they changed pipe joint size at a certain month/year
